Thai Basil Tofu Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Bamboo skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add cubed tofu to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Thread marinated tofu and fresh basil leaves onto soaked bamboo skewers.
  4. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill skewers for 3-4 minutes per side or until tofu is golden and slightly crispy.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with extra basil leaves and a side of your favorite dipping sauce.
