Thai Basil Tofu Lettuce Wraps
- 1 block of firm tofu, crumbled
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots, julienned
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
- 8 large lettuce leaves, for wrapping
- Chopped peanuts for garnish
- Press the tofu to remove excess water, then crumble it into a bowl.
- In a pan, sauté the crumbled tofu until golden brown.
- Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and Sriracha to the tofu. Cook until well combined.
- Stir in the chopped Thai basil leaves and julienned carrots. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Take a lettuce leaf, spoon in the tofu mixture, and garnish with chopped peanuts.
