Thai Basil Tofu Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, crumbled
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
  • 8 large lettuce leaves, for wrapping
  • Chopped peanuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then crumble it into a bowl.
  2. In a pan, sauté the crumbled tofu until golden brown.
  3. Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and Sriracha to the tofu. Cook until well combined.
  4. Stir in the chopped Thai basil leaves and julienned carrots. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  6. Take a lettuce leaf, spoon in the tofu mixture, and garnish with chopped peanuts.
  7. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your Thai Basil Tofu Lettuce Wraps!
