Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chilies, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Crushed peanuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the sliced beef in soy sauce for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, Thai basil, garlic, and red chilies.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated beef until browned.
  4. Add the cooked beef to the vegetable mixture.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together fish sauce, lime juice, and brown sugar. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently.
  6. Garnish with crushed peanuts and extra Thai basil leaves.
