Teriyaki Tofu Lettuce Wraps
- 1 block firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Lettuce leaves, for wrapping
- Optional toppings: sliced green onions, sesame seeds
- Prepare the tofu by pressing it to remove excess moisture, then cut it into small cubes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Add tofu cubes to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated tofu cubes. Cook until golden and slightly caramelized.
- Remove tofu from the skillet and assemble the lettuce wraps by placing tofu inside lettuce leaves.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve and enjoy!
