Teriyaki Glazed Tofu Bowl


  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Steamed broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers, for serving
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish


  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add cubed tofu to the marinade and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add marinated tofu, and cook until golden brown.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
  5. Pour the slurry into the skillet with tofu and cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve the teriyaki glazed tofu over cooked rice with steamed vegetables.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
