Sweet Chili Glazed Tofu Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Cooked rice or quinoa for serving
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
- Add the cubed tofu to the marinade and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove tofu from the marinade (save the marinade) and cook tofu until golden brown on each side.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water.
- Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked tofu back to the skillet, coating it with the thickened sauce.
- Serve the sweet chili glazed tofu over rice or quinoa, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
