Sweet Chili Glazed Tofu Bowl



  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Cooked rice or quinoa for serving
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish



  1. In a bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  2. Add the cubed tofu to the marinade and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove tofu from the marinade (save the marinade) and cook tofu until golden brown on each side.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water.
  5. Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the cooked tofu back to the skillet, coating it with the thickened sauce.
  7. Serve the sweet chili glazed tofu over rice or quinoa, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
