Spicy Thai Basil Tofu Bowl


  • 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut it into small cubes.
  2. In a large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add tofu cubes to the pan and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  4. Stir in sliced red bell pepper and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Pour the sauce over the tofu and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly.
  6. Add fresh basil leaves and cook until wilted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the spicy tofu mixture over cooked jasmine rice.
