  • 4 tuna steaks (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  1. Pat dry the tuna steaks and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix sesame seeds, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  3. Coat each tuna steak with the sesame mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the tuna steaks for 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or adjust cooking time for desired doneness.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
