Savory Spinach Stuffed Shells


  • 1 box jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish


  1. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the spinach and cheese mixture.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Place the stuffed shells in the dish.
  6. Top the shells with the remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve warm.
