Orange Ginger Glazed Tofu


  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish


  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix orange juice, soy sauce, maple syrup, grated ginger, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
  3. Marinate tofu cubes in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add marinated tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour it over the tofu and stir until the sauce thickens.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
