Maple Dijon Glazed Chicken Breasts

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme for garnish (optional)

  1. In a bowl, mix together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, letting excess drip off.
  4. Cook the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are nicely caramelized with the glaze.
  5. Once done, remove from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.
