  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/3 cup chopped olives (black or green)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or oregano)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the feta cheese, chopped olives, and fresh herbs to the flour mixture. Stir to combine.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and olive oil.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve!
