Harissa Marinated Grilled Tofu


  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 3 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish


  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix harissa paste, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the tofu cubes with the harissa marinade, ensuring each piece is well covered. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated tofu cubes onto skewers.
  6. Grill the tofu skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are golden brown and have a nice grill mark.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
