  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Coarse sea salt for topping


  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the dough and press it into a greased baking pan.
  6. Combine minced garlic and chopped rosemary, then sprinkle over the dough. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before slicing.
