  • 2 cups chickpeas, cooked
  • 4 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish


  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, cook until fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomatoes, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and red chili powder. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  4. Add chickpeas and spinach, cook until spinach wilts.
  5. Pour in water, season with salt, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
