  • Ciabatta bread
  • Fresh mozzarella
  • Tomatoes
  • Basil leaves
  • Pesto sauce
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Preheat a panini press or a grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Slice the ciabatta bread horizontally and brush olive oil on the insides.
  3. Spread pesto on one side of the bread.
  4. Layer slices of fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil leaves on top of the pesto.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Top with the other slice of bread.
  7. Place the sandwich in the panini press or grill pan.
  8. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the bread is toasted and the cheese has melted.
  9. Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.
